ABOUT

We are a friendly, informal group whose aim is to improve our writing through encouraging each other, and by regularly entering competitions.

We have a set theme every month, and a week before the meeting, we email our work to other members for comment.  Then on the third Tuesday of each month, we bring along our comments and discuss the work in a friendly way so that we all learn something from it. We also catch up with people who have entered competitions, to see how they have got on.

Don’t worry if you would rather not submit your work for your first few meetings. You are more than welcome to come along and listen.

If you are currently working on a project which doesn’t fit in with the set theme, you won’t be left out! Please bring it along and share it with the group.  You can be assured of a positive reception.  Perhaps you are looking for further ideas which the group could provide.

We welcome people of all ages and abilities from complete beginners to published novelists!
